Creating space for the new

There’s something about turning the corner into a new year that feels… spacious. Not in the “new year, new you” kind of way. Honestly, that’s never really resonated with me. But in a deeper, more grounded sense. A sense of clearing out the corners of our lives, shaking off the dust of old patterns and making room for whatever wants to grow next.

Because for me, stepping into a new year has never been about stopping things. It’s about creating space for new goals, new creativity, new connections and new versions of ourselves that we haven’t quite met yet.

Every year, I sit down with a cup of coffee, a quiet moment and an open journal to create my personal “bucket list” for the year ahead. It’s not a list of rigid resolutions. It’s more like a map; one I expect to revise, scribble on and wander off of occasionally. But it gives me direction, clarity and a sense of intention for three areas of my life: professional, personal, and health.

Professional: Growing My Next Chapter

As we look toward 2026, I feel genuinely excited about the next stage of my consulting business. It’s wild to think it’s nearly a year old, my little entrepreneurial baby! And this year, I’m committed to helping it grow into something that not only lights me up creatively and professionally but also becomes a true financial contributor to my family.

This feels big. This feels aligned. And most importantly, it feels possible.

Personal: Learning Something New (and Not Alone)

On the personal side, I’ve been feeling pulled toward learning a new skill with my younger son, Henry. It’s been a while since he and I started something from scratch together and I love the idea of sharing that process. Being beginners side by side.

Right now, the contenders are piano lessons or knitting. Both feel grounding, creative and just playful enough. I’m letting us both sit with the idea and see what feels right. I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

Health: A New Challenge on the Horizon

And then there’s the health bucket. My anchor, my sanity, my outlet. In 2026, I’m setting my sights on competing in a HYROX competition. It scares me a little… which is exactly why I’m drawn to it. There’s something powerful about choosing a challenge that requires consistency, strength and resilience. It reminds me that growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by showing up.

So as we step into the new year together, I’m curious…

What are you working toward in 2026?
A new challenge? A new routine? A new creative project? Or maybe simply making space for something you can’t quite name yet.

Whatever it is, you don’t have to hold it alone. Share it with your coach, a fellow GLP member or someone in your life who will cheer you on. There is magic in naming what you want. There is even more magic in letting others support you along the way.

Here’s to creating space.
Here’s to new beginnings.
Here’s to your next chapter.

Let’s step into it, together.
